What to Expect
Patient History and Symptoms
To get a better understanding of the current condition, you will be asked to fill out forms and provide background information on their complaints and symptoms. Patients will also be asked about their:
Chiropractic Examination
Our chiropractic examination includes general tests such as blood pressure, pulse, reflexes, orthopedic tests, nerve function tests, and a posture exam. These tests will help assess:
Diagnostic Studies
Our office is equipped with the latest digital X-ray machine, which helps us obtain instant images. X-rays are only taken if the history and examination warrant it. While these are not necessary in every case, they are helpful in trauma cases for ruling out fractures.
Treatment
The goal of our treatment is to decrease pain, increase range of motion, and normalize function. Our office utilizes physiotherapy modalities along with chiropractic care for optimum healing. We will educate patients on proper posture and will be given stretching and strengthening exercises for home care. Each treatment plan is customized to the needs of the individual patient.
Report Findings
Once care has been initiated, an extended appointment will be made to discuss the treatment plan with the patient. This is when we get the chance to educate the patient about their condition and expected recovery time as well as discuss if further studies are needed. To get a better understanding of our patients’ expectations, we will discuss their health goals and customize a treatment plan that will best fit their specific needs.
